General Maintenance / Skid Steer Operator

The Opportunity:

ProCura Real Estate Services is seeking to add two General Maintenance / Skid Steer Operators to our Parking & Facilities team.  The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day general maintenance of our portfolio of properties and surface parking lots.  The incumbent will be expected to work a 40-hour work week with variable shifts depending on the season.  The variable shifts would be 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the winter season and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. during the summer season. The company will have the right to revise these depending on the requirements of the business.  The role will report to the Parking Manager and will be required to mobilize between our properties as required.

 Responsibilities:

General snow removal duties:

  • Operation of skid steer, plow, sander, walk behind sweepers
  • Hauling and towing of equipment as required
  • Plowing and/or broom clean of surface parking lots
  • Broom clean of sidewalks
  • Material application
  • Maintenance of equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

General maintenance duties at surface parking lots:

  • Installation/replacement of signage
  • Debris and clean up
  • Landscaping maintenance
  • Spring and fall cleanup
  • Assist in the maintenance and installation of parking equipment
  • Grading of surfaces
  • Asphalt repair
  • Line painting
  • Other duties as required

 Requirements:

  • Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Skid Steer Operator certification is preferred with a minimum of 2 years working operation
  • Emergency or Standard First Aid and Transportation of Danger Goods Certification will be an asset
  • Experience with maintaining parking equipment and parking lot maintenance will be considered an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Safety conscious
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Be able to work a variable shift
  • Be available for on call, after hours emergency and weekends
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, possess a valid class 5 driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract
  • High degree of professionalism and dedication to all stakeholders
  • Security clearance upon offer of employment
